a.m. at the Johnson County Central Resource Library, 9875 W 87th Street, Overland Park, KS. This event is free to the public.
October 7, 2006 M.A.G.I.C. 10th Annual Bus Tour
The annual autumn bus
tour will take us to the historic African-American resort communities of Lake Placid and Duncan’s Point in Missouri.
Kansas Citians established these resort communities in the 1930s and 1950s. The tour will end at Osage Beach for M.A.G.I.C.’s
traditional buffet luncheon. Time will be allotted for passengers to shop and browse at the outlet mall
at Osage Beach. The 47-passenger
motor coach full day tour price is only: $55 per member $60 per nonmember. The price includes: round trip bus transportation; continental breakfast;
afternoon snacks; cold bottled water and beverages aboard the bus; all-you-can-eat lunch buffet with beverages at Osage Beach;
and gratuities. Deadline for full payment is September 23, 2006. Deadline for cancellation is September
9, 2006.
